Chris Brickley highlights lot 2923, 'Trousers', the diminutive and charming brass goat by Scottish Colourist J.D Fergusson. Though he made myriad drawings of the wild mountain goats the sculpture was based on, the tactile qualities of their flowing hair led Fergusson towards his carving tools, creating the animal in metal.
