On inspection the canvas is framed with a small slip separating from the glass and the area to the right of the face and appears to have been stuck to the glass where pigment has adhered to the glass. Generally there is a fair amount of blooming, cracking in the pigment for the main part on the peripheries but not exclusively with the main figure relatively untouched by cracking bar the jacket and waistcoat.
