Fitted with a tall spike, the base having star fittings; and scaled chinstrap; with a grey canvas cover, ink-stamped "D.R.P."; and conical travel case
Cloth cover in very good overall condition, with light wear and marking to edges.
Some crazing and scratching to crown of pickelhaube. Surface of peak is bubbled and looks to have been roughly refinished. Tarnish to gilt fittings. Various chips to the rosettes. Internally, some discolouration and mildew patches to the leather sweatband. Two-piece silk lining is crumpled and loosely fitted.
Conical case with significant surface wear - various gouges, scratches etc. Leather carrying strap is lacking. Leather securing strap is torn and buckle fitting lacking.
