Dust jacket in rather rough shape, having numerous tears, with marks, foxing and discolouration over much of its surface. Water damage evident in colour transfer from cloth of lower cover to interior of jacket. Otherwise, some minor marks to covers, bumps to head and foot of spine and light shelf wear. Endpapers and half-title somewhat browned with marks in places. Page edges generally dirty with marks. Internally, pages are very good, being free from dog-earing, tears, annotations etc. Map of Middle Earth is present at end of text. Some marks and small tears at fold. Binding is firm. John B.
