Droit de Suite

Living artists works sold at auction over 1000 euros (sterling equivalent dependant on exchange on the day), are subject to Droit de Suite or Artist’s Re-sale Rights.

These pictures are marked with a double asterisk **.

This royalty of 4% of the hammer price will be charged to the buyer, in addition to the buyers premium.  This royalty charge is not subject to VAT.

All royalty charges are paid to the Design and Artists Copyrights Society (DACS) or the Artists Collecting Society (ACS) and no handling costs or additional fees are retained by the auctioneer.

Please note that the royalty payment is calculated on the rate of exchange at the European Central Bank on the date of the sale.
