191. 9ct gold Scottish League Championship Medal 1922-23, won by John (Jock) Nicholson, Glasgow Rangers FC.
Jock was born in 1888 and worked in the mines from the age of 12. Around 1911 he was spotted by Bristol City and signed for them. His career was interrupted by WWI. He was transferred to Glasgow Rangers c.1920. After leaving Rangers he worked as a coach in Sweden, Norway and Italy. He returned to Britain c.1951 and managed a pub, then retired to Weston Super Mare where he died in his sleep aged 82. £700-1000
